Welcome
I am a seasoned freelance writer and editor currently based in Greenville, South Carolina—a town with a burgeoning food and sustainable-farming scene. My passion is writing about food and travel, and I have pursued that passion over the past 20 years of my career.
As a staff editor for Michelin travel publications, I traveled extensively in the U.S. and Canada, doing research for Michelin's travel guides. I have long been fascinated by the way that food defines a place, and am always on the prowl for edible souvenirs to bring back from the places I visit. During the last five years of my tenure with Michelin, I wrote and edited large parts of the North American collection of The Michelin Guide, the acclaimed red-covered restaurant and hotel guide. My travels to and meals in New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco and northern California Wine Country whetted my appetite for writing about food.
A freelancer since 2009, I am currently a contributing editor to TOWN magazine (a monthly publication of the Community Journals), where I write food and restaurant articles, travel pieces, profiles and more on a regular basis. Previously, I was the restaurant reviewer and a contributing editor to G, The Magazine of Greenville. My work has recently been featured in The Local Palate; Tempus Magazine; Southwest Spirit; USAToday.com; mapquest.com; and 10Best.com.
I'm an accomplished project manager with proven ability to juggle multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines. I approach every project I take on with creative vision, finely honed organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, a can-do attitude and a commitment to excellence. In my spare time, I am proud to promote "good, clean and fair" food practices through my volunteer work on the Board of Directors of Slow Food Upstate.
